SUNDAE TANNER

Sundae Tanner, 51, of Monroe, LA, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. A 
visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA. Memorial services will 
be held at 10:30 am Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1155 
Highway 594 Monroe, LA with the Rev. David Willoughby officiating.

Sundae was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Ratcliff.

She is survived by her husband Roger Tanner, her daughter Morgan Tanner, her 
mother Dru Ratcliff, her sister Brandae Miller and husband Connell, and her 
nephew Cade, mother-in-law and father-in-law Travis and Elsie Tanner

Sundae graduated from Ouachita High School and received her degree from 
Northeast Louisiana University in 1985. She began her teaching career at Beekman 
Junior High in Bastrop, and over the years she taught at various schools in 
Ouachita and Morehouse parishes.

Sundae had a passion for family, life, children, and teaching. Her love for her 
daughter, Morgan, was immeasurable. Roger and Sundae recently celebrated their 
28th wedding anniversary on May 9th. Not only were they husband and wife, but 
also they were best friends. Sundae touched the lives of many people with her 
sweet and caring spirit, and she will be greatly missed by her loving family, 
friends, and students.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beekman Charter School.
