TARVER On January 10, 2013 God welcomed his faithful servant with open arms. Funeral services for Mr. Bobby L. Tarver, 84, West Monroe, LA will be held in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Bro. Gordon E. Dean, Bro. James Gardner and Bro. Mr. Tarver was born August 5, 1928 in Fort Necessity, LA and passed away January 10, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Entergy after 42 year of service. Bob's love and companionship will be missed by his wife Myrna whom he confessed his love and adoration even in their last moments together. They enjoyed retirement and felt it was God's plan for them to travel and share God's love and message. Bob rejoiced in witnessing to everyone he came in contact with. He was eager to share with a steward on a cruise or a waitress in a restaurant. Bob was an active member of Highland Baptist Church where he loved and prayed daily for his church family. Many hearts are saddened by the loss of our "Pops" but are reassured by the hope Christ has given us, that we will all be reunited in heaven. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Green Tarver, his parents Tommy Lee Tarver (father) and Lucy Duke Tarver (mother), Jewel White (sister), Lois Thigpen (sister), and Leslie Tarver (brother). Bob is survived by his beloved wife Myrna Hall Tarver, Shauna Gamble (daughter) and her husband Greg, Robert Steven Tarver (son) Renee Steverson (stepdaughter), Rhonda Chapman (stepdaughter) and her husband Doug, Robyn Perkins (stepdaughter) and her husband John, Scott Berry (stepson) and his wife Jodi, Thomas Berry (stepson) and 12 precious grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who adored their "Pops".
