Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Fair Park Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Waymond Warren and Rev. Eddie Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Donna was born on July 16, 1979 and passed away at her residence on August 5, 2013. She worked as an Executive Assistant with Diversity One Staffing. Donna touched so many people with her amazing will to live. Her enthusiasm, her beautiful smile and tenacious attitude was felt by all who knew her and loved her. She received the 2013 Survivor of the Year Award from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Northeast-Central Louisiana Region. Donna is preceded in death by her father, Jackie Lee Eakes. Donna will be greatly missed by her husband, Todd Tarver; her sweet baby girls, Zoey Ann and Abbie Grace Tarver; parents, Betty and Jack Eakes and Ann Cardin; brothers, Jack Eakes and wife, Jessica and Todd Eakes and wife, Shawny; sisters, Denise White and husband, Billy and DeDe Eakes; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Barbara Tarver; brother-in-law, Hank Tarver and wife, Laurie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jack Eakes, Jamie Smith, Dustin Ratcliff, John Navarro, Cliff Watts and Kris Lancaster. Honorary Pallbearers will be her devoted and loving friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time at Fair Park Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure . We would like to thank Donna's doctors; St. Joseph's Hospice; and also to her devoted and loving friends for their care and compassion during Donna's illness. The Lord has healed this beautiful person. She is no longer a victim to cancer, no more in pain. Now, may the Lord heal the broken hearts that were so close to her.
