Dewayne Butler officiating. Interment will be at Gwin Cemetery in Mangham, Louisiana. Mrs. Taylor was born to the union of Tracy and Vesta Vinson Swayze on October 28, 1930 in Pelahatchie, Mississippi and continued on her spiritual journey on Tuesday morning, November 13, 2012 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a new resident of Gilbert, after living in Newellton for the past 30 years where she was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church of Newellton, a devoted wife and loving mother who loved her family and friends unconditionally. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved fishing, hunting, working in her flower beds, surrounded by nature and wildlife while living at Lake Yucatan. She was an avid artist that would paint anything that sat still long enough. Her joy was her husband, her children, grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered by her wonderful sense of humor and being able to see the bright side of everything. She was preceded in death by her parents, son William Claude (Pete) Taylor, Jr., brothers Edward (Buddy) Swayze, W.T. Swayze, sisters Ruby Swayze Joiner and Margaret Swayze Gill, one grandson Brad Jones, two great granddaughters Brook Rain and Madeline Grace. On September 13, 1947 she married the love of her life William C. (Billy) Taylor, recently celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Surviving in addition to her husband is her son Ronnie Taylor, Sr. and wife LaRee of Mangham, La. , daughters Cathy Thompson and husband Steven of West Monroe, La. and Jenny Ortega and husband Robert of Longview, Tx. Grandchildren Ronnie Lynn Taylor, Jr. and Machelle Taylor of Mangham, Christie Haynes of West Monroe, Holly Curry of Longview, Tx., Patricia Thomas of Blossom, Tx., William (Buddy) Curry of Crowville, La., Lori Curry Evans of Baskin, La. and Robert Cole Ortega of Longview, Tx. and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may call for visitation on Wednesday November 14, 2012 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Young's Community Memorial in Winnsboro, Louisiana. There will also be a visitation on Thursday November 15, 2012 after 12:00 noon with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Claude Frey, James Donald Taylor, Randy Joiner, Ronnie Lynn Taylor, William (Buddy) Curry and Robert Cole Ortega. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Taylor, Roger Arnold, Carroll Fuller, James Lachney, Wesley Lachney and David Hutto.
