She was 86 and a native of Ruston. Mrs. Taylor was a retiree of Louisiana Tech, with 33 years of service, as a supervisor in Food Services at Tolliver Hall. She was known for her gardening and delicious meals, but is best remembered for her dedication and care that she gave to those she loved. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter and former son-in-law: Diane Taylor and Steve G. Bokun, both of Baton Rouge; two grandsons and their spouses: Todd and Annette Bokun of Walker, and Brad and Rebecca Bokun of Baton Rouge; six great-grandchildren: Kevin, Kathryn, Camille, Bennett, Carter and Anne Marie. She was preceded in death by her husband: Andrew Carlton Taylor; and her parents: Willis R. and Nita Edmiston of Ruston. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston with Bro. Gerald Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time. Pallbearers will be John Maxwell, Steve Bokun, James Goudey, Todd Bokun, Brad Bokun, Chris Womack and Kevin Bokun. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. Special thanks for the excellent care from Our Lady of Lake Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
