J. P. McKeithen, Rev. Terry Love, and Rev. Larry Stafford officiating. Burial was at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mrs. Taylor died Monday, December 1, 1997 at North Monroe Healthcare. She was a native of Kelly and had been a resident of Monroe since 1918. She was a member of the Louise McGuire Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Monroe, the Untied Methodist Women and the Parker Wossman Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Livingston Taylor, and a daughter LaVania Woodburn. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs.Marie Hunt and her husband, Harold, of Monroe, Mrs. Dorothy T. Hill of Monroe; one son: William A. Taylor and his wife, Lois, of Baton Rouge, a son-in-law: John B. Woodburn of Monroe; three sisters: Mrs. Helen LaValley of Westfield, Mass., Mrs. Myrtle Brooks and her husband, James, of Shreveport, Mrs. Nellie Ruth Day of Dallas; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons were pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church of Monroe.
