JOHN EARL TAYLOR, JR. 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA. 

Funeral services for John Earl Taylor, Jr., 77, of West Monroe, LA will be 
1:00 PM on Monday, January 4, 2010, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home 
of West Monroe with Rev. Gary Taylor and Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. 
Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, Louisiana under the 
direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mr. Taylor was born 
June 6, 1932, in Kelly, Louisiana, and passed away on January 1, 2010. He was 
preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Doris L. Taylor. Mr. Taylor 
was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed with John Manville, Plant 47, 
for 31 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing music. He was a friend 
to many whose lives he touched. He is now gone to be with Doris. Survivors are 
his daughters, Beth Bennett and husband Chuck, Lynn Taylor and husband Paul, 
one son, John W. Taylor; eight grandchildren: Melanie, Christopher, Benny, 
Michelle, Jennifer, Nathan, Teresa and Katie; and ten great grandchildren. 
Pallbearers are Chris Bennett, Benny Bennett, Nathan Taylor, Ralph Seay, Trent 
Pruett, and Michael Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Sammy Hatten and Allen 
Lofton. Visitation is Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home in West Monroe.
