"BUDDY" TAYLOR Funeral services for Mr. George W. "Buddy" Taylor, 89 of Farmerville, LA., will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Officiating will be Grandson, Brother Matthew L. Taylor, and Nephew Brother Mike Silmon. Interment will follow at Bernice City Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Hollis Taylor; grandson Van Douglas Taylor Jr.; mother Sarah Ophelia Byram Taylor; father George Arlin Taylor; son-in-law Alton "Buck" Ouchley and 5 sisters. He is survived by his 2 Daughters, Judie Ouchley of Jefferson, TX; Lynn Taylor and Son-in-Law James "Buddy" Taylor of Farmerville, LA.; 2 Sons, Danny Taylor of Ruston, LA; Doug Taylor and Daughter-in-Law Rhonda Lewis Taylor of Farmerville, LA. 8 Grand Children, Christopher Ouchley; Julie Ouchley Testa; Melanie Ouchley McClandlish; Shannon Ouchley Culpepper; Amy Michelle Taylor; Matthew L. Taylor; Amanda "Mandy" Taylor Crain; and Jonathan Taylor; 18 Great Grand Children and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Chris Ouchley and Jonathan Taylor; nephews: Todd Silmon, Timothy Silmon; son - in -Law Scott Crain and close friend Jimmy Green. Mr. Taylor was born on July 28, 1921 and passed away at his daughter's residence on August 30, 2010 in Farmerville, LA. He was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church, a retired sawyer for C. A. Reed Lumber Company and a long time employee of the old Lindsay Lumber Company in Bernice. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting with his special Son-in-Law James "Buddy" Taylor. The head of our family has departed on his journey home knowing that he was loved. We will miss him every day but he has left us with such sweet memories.
