GENEVA JOINER TELFORD

Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Joiner Telford, age 89 of West Monroe, will 
be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at White's Ferry Road Church of 
Christ in West Monroe. Officiating the service will be Don Deluki and Jim 
Davis. Burial will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe 
under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Telford was born October 19, 1924 in Ouachita Parish to Clinton Joiner 
and Molly Watts Joiner. She died March 31, 2014 in West Monroe. Mrs. Telford 
was a cashier for wholesale grocery stores for many years. In her spare time, 
she and her husband loved to travel the United States and Canada and visited 
every state and province. Her talent for good cooking was known by many and 
she was especially famous for her hush puppies and her peach cobblers. She 
enjoyed entertaining people and especially missionaries of the church and was 
always faithful to care for sick family members in their times of need.

Mrs. Telford is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years: Riley L. Telford; 
her daughter: Sandra and husband Jim Davis of Ruston; three grandchildren; six 
great grandchildren; her brother: Carroll Joiner of Calhoun and a host of 
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: 
Virgil Joiner, L.E. Joiner and Prentice Joiner and her five sisters: Ottis 
Joiner, Ava Brister, Helen Moore, Betty Garner and Marcia Roberson.

Pallbearers will be: Lloyd Williams, Harold Davis, Billy Downey, James 
Talkington, Jim Fuller and Tommy Powell. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM 
until 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at White's Ferry Road Church of Christ.
