She passed from this life on August 14, 2009. After her family moved to Monroe, she was in nursing training in New Orleans where she met the love of her life, Stanley Tempalski, who was a signalman in the US Navy. They moved to his home town of Pittsburgh, Pa. and had a daughter, Sandy. They lived there many years. On a vacation visit to Monroe, Stan decided he wanted to fish, and she decided she wanted to move back home. They did and they enjoyed their lives. She went to work for F. Strauss and Sons, and then worked for 28 years at NLU in the Computing Center where she retired in 1992. Never one to stay idle, she volunteered for a number of years at North Monroe, and St. Francis Hospitals, as well as St. Joseph's. She found her church home at Lakeshore Baptist Church where for many years she loved and was loved by many. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, brothers, Dub and Gordon Jr.; and sister, Marie. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Wall; and granddaughters, Laura Wall of Shreveport, LA. and Kim Thomas and her husband Barry of Pleasant Hill; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
