LOUELLA MARIE TEW

Louella Marie (Gammy) Tew , age 102, passed away on July 11, 2015 in Ruston, 
LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at 
Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro, LA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. 
Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Jonesboro First Baptist Church, with Dr. 
Charles Wesley officiating. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 
16, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery in Shreveport, LA, with Clyde 
Alexander Tew Jr. officiating.

She was born Louella Marie Roy in Cypress, LA on November 5, 1912 to Oscar 
Frederich and Ellen Roy. She was an active member of the Jonesboro First 
Baptist Church for 38 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Woodrow Wilson Tew, her 
parents, her brothers, J.B. Aswell Roy and Richard Roy, her sister, Vernola Roy 
Lacaze, her son, Wayne Ellis Tew, and her great granddaughter, Meagan Elizabeth 
Green.

She is survived by her sons, Clyde Alexander Tew, Sr. and wife Jane of 
Bulverde, Tx. and Richard Allen Tew and wife Valerie of Jonesboro, LA; her 
brother James Edward (J.E.) Roy of Frierson, LA; her sister Ellen Aline Hunt 
and husband Paul of Shreveport, LA; nine grandchildren, Janna Caryl Green of 
Montgomery, AL, Clyde Alexander Tew, Jr. and wife Ann of Shreveport, LA, Pamela 
Lynn Wimberley and husband Kirk of Stillwater, OK, Gregory Wayne Tew of Homer, 
LA, Christopher Scott Tew and wife Andrea of Shreveport, LA, Allen Walker Tew 
and wife Robin of Jonesboro, LA, Sarah Jane Noblin and husband Dave of 
Kingwood, TX, AnnaMarie Weise and husband David of San Antonio, TX, and Bryan 
Ashby Tew of Bulverde, TX.

She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren, Ryan Alexander Tew, Erin 
Courtney Lambert, Mysha Karol Hillman, Lezley Ann Pridgen, Morgan Leigh Ewers, 
Elizabeth Hope Green, Emily Jane Tew, Alyssa Hope Tew, James Connor Tew, 
Franklin Dare Gueydan, Ajay Walker Tew, Braden Rogers Tew, John David (JD) 
Noblin, Caroline Dawson Tew, Richard Duke Tew, Sophie Jane Noblin, Isabel Jane 
Weise, Madeline Grace Weise, Ella Marie Weise; and seven great, great 
grandchildren, Elisha Reese Tew, Presley Ann Pridgen, Brooklyn Grace Pridgen, 
Ellarie Paige Hillman, Judah Matthew Pridgen, Everleigh Grace Hillman, Meagan 
Elizabeth Lambert, and Emelia Jo Hillman.

Her grandsons and great grandsons will honor her as pallbearers.

Services are under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home, Jonesboro, LA. You
