JOHN L. THARP

Graveside services for John L. "Buddy" Tharp Sr., will be held at 11:30 AM, 
Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA. Rev. Ricky Baker will 
officiate.

Mr. Tharp was born September 1, 1927 and passed away April 17, 2016. He was a 
veteran of the United States Navy and loved to hunt, fish and tinker. Mr. Tharp 
was preceded in death by his first wife, Eula Fay Pailette; his daughter, Lee 
Ann McAfee; 2 sisters, Opal Langston and Jackie Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tharp; sons, Jerry Gilley, John Lee 
Tharp, Jr., and Jimmy Sanford, 11 grandchildren and several great-
grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
