BILLY F. THOMAS

Funeral services for Billy F. Thomas, age 74 of Kelly, will be held at 2 PM 
Saturday, January 21, 2012 from the sanctuary of Old Bethel Baptist Church in 
Clarks with Rev. Todd Whittington officiating. Interment will follow at Old 
Bethel Cemetery in Clarks.

Visitation will be Friday evening at Old Bethel Baptist Church from 5 PM to 8 
PM then again Saturday from 12 PM until time of service.

Mr. Thomas was born in Kelly, LA on March 24, 1937 and died Wednesday, January 
18, 2012. He was retired from Caldwell Parish School Board where he was 
Principal of Grayson Elementary, Assistant Principal of Caldwell Parish Jr. 
High, Coach and Teacher at Caldwell Parish High School. He worked at Louisiana 
State Penitentiary, on the Board of Kelly Water District and has been a Deputy 
Sheriff of Caldwell Parish.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lonnie Thomas and Ethel Martin Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Curry Thomas of Kelly, two children and 
their spouses: Rev. Keith and Mary Thomas of Kelly and Karla and Kerry Keowen 
of Central, grandchildren: Sawyer Thomas and spouse, Trevor of Plant City, FL, 
Reed Thomas and spouse, Jordan of Natchitoches, Kade Keowen of New Roads and 
Kory Keowen of Central, one great-grandchild, Claire Thomas of Plant City, FL, 
siblings: Dorothy Newsom and spouse, Robert of Kelly and Shirley Turner and 
spouse, Jim of Columbia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Keowen, Kade Keowen, Kory Keowen, Reed Thomas, 
Trevor Thomas and Dwayne Newsom.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Old Bethel Christian Academy 
Baseball/Softball Complex Fund, PO Box 95, Clarks, LA 71415.
