Purvis Rodriguez and Allen Lenard officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the church. Mr. Thomas was born July 14, 1951, in Monroe and passed away on October 21, 2015, in West Monroe. He was an expert marksman and precision reloader. Steven was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a NRA lifetime member. Mr. Thomas was very patriotic and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was best known for his quick wit and knowledge of history. He also took care of his parents. Steven was a bible scholar. He graduated from United Electronics Institute in Dallas, TX where he received his FCC license. Steven traveled all across the United States with Mobile Oil Corporation and retired from General Motors. He is preceded in death by a brother, David Michael Thomas. Survivors include parents, Earl and Hosie Thomas; wife, Threasa Thomas, two children, Jason Matthew Thomas and Heather Lynette Thomas; two grandchildren, Keegan and Karly Thomas; siblings, Sherryl Williamson and husband Roy, Richard Thomas and wife Karen, Scott Thomas and wife Teresa; special cousins, Sandy Dlabaj; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Pallbearers will be Jason Thomas, Chris Thomas, John Thomas, Dusty Thomas, Jacob Williamson, and Kyle Williamson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Richard Thomas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Rifle Association.
