The son of Willie and Odessa Hollis, Thomas was born August 7, 1929. He was a member and deacon of Canaan Baptist Church. He served in the Korean War United States Army. He retired from Willamette Industries, Lillie, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy and Chester Thomas and a sister, Melba Dumas. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Syble Williams Thomas; children, Nicky Thomas and wife Stephanie of El Dorado, AR; Patricia Harrison and husband Dwayne of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Kelly Methvin and husband Richard of Minden, LA, and Bradford Thomas and wife Leslie of Farmerville, LA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; sisters Helen Ramsey, Christine Campbell, Lucille Cottrell, Julie Habour, Janelle Snyder and brother David A. Thomas. Visitation will be held at Canaan Baptist Church on Sunday March 6, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00pm Funeral Services will be held at Canaan Baptist Church on Monday March 7, 2016 at 2:00pm and burial in Canaan Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
