THOMPSON Funeral services for Don A. Thompson, 58, of Monroe, will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2013, in the Chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Britt Dupree and Rev. Phillip McCready officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Mr. Thompson passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 in Monroe, LA. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Teague Thompson. Survivors include his wife, Pam Tisdale Thompson of Monroe, LA; son, Randy Allen Thompson and wife Caroline of Monroe, LA; father, Reta Thompson of Minden, LA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sterling and Floy Tisdale of Bastrop, LA; and brother, Larry G. Thompson and wife Joy of Marietta, GA. Don was a 40 year employee of Crow-Burlingame/Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts, having made his way through the ranks from delivery driver to Regional Manager for the Southern Division. Don loved his family, woodworking and working on his railbuggy which he built from an antique VW. He always looked forward to a Sunday afternoon ride in it, boating on the Ouachita River, and Friday nights watching his son race. Don was a 12 year member of the Krewe of Janus and served as Parade Manager for the last 5 years. Pallbearers will be Rusty Hamby, Thomas Martin, Bill Middleton, Ray Mohler, Hubert Owens, Ken Petersen, Tom Singleton and Walter Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Cooper, Bill Couvillion, Gordon David, Joseph Hakim, Johnny Hertz, Karla Owens, Sammy Tolar. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Northeast Louisiana Food Bank Backpack Program, P.O.
