JACK THOMPSON

Kilpatrick Funeral Home

Monroe, Louisiana

Jack Thompson, 85, of Swartz, LA was called to heaven on Monday, November 10, 
2008 after a short illness. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, 
November 12, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Jeff Smart 
officiating with interment at Loch Arbor Cemetery under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Thompson was born October 21, 1923 in Swartz. He was preceded in death by 
his parents Manie and Henry Thompson, seven siblings and his beloved grandson 
Scott.

He leaves behind a loving wife of 57 years, Loraine Wyatt Thompson, whom he 
married May 26, 1951; four sons, Steve Thompson and wife, Linda, Keith 
Thompson and fiancé, Joanie, Rusty Thompson and wife, Lynn, David Thompson and 
special friend, Felecia; seven grandchildren, Crystal and husband, Steven 
Davis, Kayla and husband, Dr. Jacob Lee, Melissa, Clint, Jack, Jason and Jacob 
Thompson; five great grandchildren, Caleb, Conner, Clara, Jackson, and Abby 
Kate.

Jack served his country in the U. S. Marines and the U. S. Navy. He retired 
from Texas Gas after 30 years service. Friends and family who will help him on 
his last journey are David Speir, Johnny Capps, Todd Hicks, Johnny Wyatt, Rick 
Scott, Dennis Scott, and special honorary friends are Conrad Ludlow and Chuck 
Speyrer.

Very special thanks to Susanne Hatton and Patient's Choice Hospice Care.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
