RUTHIE "JEAN" THOMPSON

Funeral services for Ruthie "Jean" Thompson, 76, of West Monroe, LA will be held
at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral
Home West Monroe. Rev. Leonard Garlington will officiate. Interment will follow
at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West
Monroe.

Jean was born September 19, 1937 in Summerville, LA and passed away January 11,
2014 in Monroe. She had a beautiful soul with a gift of music who chose a life
of serving the Lord and her family over a life with the Metropolitan Opera. Her
unwavering faith and beautiful smile touched so many lives.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; her parents, Howard L.
Hooter and mother, Ana B. Reeves Hooter; brothers, Duane, Fred and Jack Hooter.

Jean is survived by her children; Duane and Heather Thompson, Monica Rasmussen
and Tom Degerness, and Howard and Ginger Thompson; sisters, Doris Bradley, Sue
Hooter, Jan Hardwell and Camille Hatch; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 10:00 am until service
time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
