PATRICIA WINKLER THOMPSON 

Laird Funeral Home, Nacogdoches, TX 

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Winkler Thompson will be held at 10:00 AM, 
Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Newellton Union Church in Newellton, Louisiana. 
She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 14, 1932 and passed away on 
January 2, 2010 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Pat graduated from Olla-Standard High 
School and received her B.A. and Masters degree at Northwestern State 
University in Natchitoches, Louisiana ; as a teacher, she touched many young 
lives throughout Louisiana . She was an active member in FHA, 4-H, and 
Business and Professional Women. Pat married Dr. C. E. (Ed) Thompson on April 
9, 1955 and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Dr. Tony 
Thompson and wife, Patricia of Nacogdoches, Texas and their sons Matt, Graham, 
and Ben; son, Dr. Bruce Thompson and wife, Libby of Searcy, Arkansas and their 
children, Melissa and B.J.; and son, Mike Thompson and wife, Lesley of St. 
Joseph, Louisiana and their children Sarah and Coley Hembree, Daniel and 
Lauren Thompson and Jimmie Thompson; and great-grandchildren Samantha and Sada 
Hembree. Pallbearers will be her 6 grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family 
requests that contributions be made in her memory to the Newellton Union 
Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 265, Newellton, LA 71357.
