Page Thornton, 87 of Farmerville will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Farmerville, Louisiana. Mrs. Thornton died Sunday, May 3, 2009, following a lengthy illness. She was a retired Adult Education Para Professional with the Union Parish School Systerm, Worked as a Dormitory Counselor at Grambling State University, charter member of the Budding Rose Chapter #86 Order of the Eastern Star PHA and The American Legion. Member of the Voters League of Union Parish, Union Hospital Auxillary. Board Member of the Farmerville Housing Authority and the Union General Hospital. A dedicated member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church for 46 years where she served as Director of the Youth Department and Superintendent of the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church for 22 years where she served as Church Deaconess, President of the Women's Mission and Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by her husband, Millan C. Thornton, Sister, Martha A. Burch, Farmerville, LA; Daughters, Tempie Louise Cameron (Bruce) of Cleveland, OH, John Ethel Minifeld, Monroe, LA; three grandchildren, Heath Don Minifield (Jannet) Monroe, LA. Jeremy Watley (Shona), Ursula Watley, Cleveland, OH; seven great- grand children, Carlos, Jason, Jennifer and Tomera Watley, Cleveland, OH, Pedro Lara, DeAngelo and Taitianna Minifield, Monroe, LA.
