GLENN TIDWELL

Funeral services for Glenn Tidwell 79, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 
2:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
West Monroe with Dr. Woods Watson and Don Antley officiating. Interment will 
follow in Acree Cemetery in Point, LA.

Mr. Tidwell was born on September 4, 1935, in Point, LA and passed away on 
January 14, 2015.

Mr. Tidwell graduated from NLU and went on to serve his country as a Captain 
in the United States Army. Glenn served as the president of Peoples 
Homestead Savings and Loan during the most prosperous time of the company. 
He was very influential in helping families meet the American dream of home 
ownership. Mr. Tidwell also served as executive vice president for Deposit 
Trust and Twin City Savings Banks. Glenn was a past president of the West 
Monroe Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Lions Club. During his 
savings and loan career Glenn was appointed to the Advisory Committee for 
the Federal Reserve Board. Mr. Tidwell later started his own real estate 
appraisal company where he worked until his retirement in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Tina Tidwell and by his 
niece Christa Everett.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Ann Tidwell; children Robert Glenn 
Tidwell and wife Lee, Lori Tidwell Blakeney and her husband Joey, and Todd 
Michael Tidwell; grandchildren Jonathan Tidwell, Alexa McClain, Luke 
Blakeney, Julia Blakeney, Hannah Blakeney, Falon Tidwell and Roane Tidwell; 
one great grandchild; brother, Hugh O. Tidwell and wife Ann.

Pallbearers will be John Tidwell, David Tidwell, Jonathan Tidwell, Phillip 
Sivils, Benjamin Tidwell and Luke Blakeney.

Visitation will be from 12:00P.M. until service time Friday January 16, 
2015.
