TRAVIS D. TOLBIRD

Funeral services for Travis D. Tolbird, Sr., 78, of Eros, LA, will be held at 
10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home West Monroe. Rev. Jim Shook will be officiating. Interment will follow at 
Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West 
Monroe. 

Travis was born August 6, 1935 in Ouachita Parish, LA, and passed away 
February 19, 2014 in West Monroe. He was owner of Tolbird's Upholstery, was a 
deacon at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church (LMBC), and was a veteran of the 
United States Army. Travis loved music and regularly attended gospel singings 
at the West Monroe Senior Center. He was also the song director at LMBC and 
Antioch Methodist Church.

Travis is survived by his wife of 57 ½ Years, Sue Tolbird; sons, 
Travis "Robbie" Tolbird, Jr. and wife, Laura, and Everett W. Tolbird and wife, 
Angie; grandsons, Grant Tolbird and Travis Dylan Tolbird, III; four sisters-in-
law and a brother-in-law; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of 
friends. 

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe
