Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, Feb. 2 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. J. Roddy Taylor. Interment will follow at the Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach, Louisiana. Ruth was born and raised in Lisbon, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree from Louisiana Tech University. She married Thomas Reginald Henry, Jr. and raised her five children in Monroe. After the death of Thomas, she married James E. Tolson and they worked together at the Palace Department Store until retirement. She was an active member of theMonroe community. She was a charter member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Junior Charity League of Monroe and Daughters of the American Revolution. Ruth was past President and currently the secretary of the Twin City Porcelain Art Guild. She was also an active member of her local writing club. She was most proud of all of her children and grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bess Killgore; her husbands, Thomas R. Henry, Jr. and James E. Tolson.; child, Reginald Thomas Henry, III and a sister, Marjorie Welch. She is survived by her children, Melton Henry and wife, Jeane Marie of Marrieta, GA; Tyler Henry and wife, Dianne of Ridgefield, CT, Elaine Henry and husband, Vincent Chiodo of Gaylordsville, CT, James Henry and wife, Jennie of Monroe, LA , James E. Tolson, Jr. and wife, Suzi of Plano, TX and Randy Tolson and wife, Nancy of Rockwall, TX. She is survived by her grandchildren, Bill Henry, Elizabeth Hussey, Thomas Henry, Miriam Henry, Jennifer Henry, Sally Henry, Bethany Tolson, Alexandria Tolson, James Tolson and Melissa Tolson. She is also survived by her sister, Edith Kirkpatrick of Baton Rouge and Maxwell Killgore of Covington, La. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Henry, Bill Whatley, Justin Millar, Russell Millar, Tommy Smith and Gene Newman.
