Officiating will be Bro. Jerry Keene. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Mr. Tucker was born on March 13, 1929 in Union Parish and passed away at Union General Hospital on December 29, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was a graduate of Farmerville High School class of 1946 and a veteran of the Korean War. Bobby served in the United State Army. He barbered for over 45 years and served eight years and two months as a former Union Parish Sheriffs Deputy. Bobby with his brother Ralph, uncle I. J. Tucker, cousin Heard Odom Jr. and friend Calvin Free formed their band the Bluegrass Riders in 1956 performing on the Big Ten Jamboree in 1958 and 1959. He continued to perform and promote Bluegrass music until recent failing of his health. Bobby so enjoyed visiting with people and made many friends through his journey. Mr. Tucker was a longtime faithful member of the Farmerville Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents Morris and Aberta Odom Tucker, brother, Revis Tucker, brother, Ralph Tucker, sisters infant Tucker, Floyce Marie Tucker, and Ollie Vee Tucker Hollis. Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife Jean McGough Tucker, son Brian Tucker and wife Allison, son Brent Tucker, son Brandon Tucker all of Farmerville, LA, sister Dorothy Tucker Johnson of Monroe, also four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joe Preaus, R.L. Roller, Yvern Taylor, David Williams, Jim Rhodes, and Wayne Giddens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Moore, Fred Stewart, Roanie Traylor, Nathan Free, John Earl Albritton, Alton Auger and Mike Matthews.
