TUCKER Funeral services for Jean M. Tucker 82, of Farmerville, LA will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at the Farmerville Church of Christ in Farmerville. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jerry Keene assisted by Larry White. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Jean was born on November 13, 1932 in rural Union Parish and departed to her Heavenly father on December 18, 2014. She was a graduate of Farmerville High School, class of 51, and graduated La. Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1955. She began teaching school in Cotton Valley then transferring closer to home, she taught at Spencer, Rocky Branch, also served as principal of Rocky Branch school and then moved to the Farmerville school system, teaching grades first through sixth. Jean was married to Bobby Tucker in 1958. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and attended the Farmerville Church of Christ. Jean was born on a rural farm near Farmerville in the Great Depression when times were hard. Through hard work she worked her way through college and achieved her goal of being a school teacher, which she dearly loved. To her, there was no greater joy than teaching and watching her students learn and progress. Jean was a gentle, caring and loving person that we will never forget, and her memory will be cherished. She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby G. Tucker and a brother Emmett McGough Jr., her parents Emmett McGough Sr., and Myrtle Albritton McGough. Jean was survived by a sister Marie Tims of Choudrant, and one brother Roscoe McGough of Sterlington, sons Brian Tucker and wife Allison, Brent Tucker, and Brandon Tucker, four grandchildren, Brooklyn Tucker, Bridget Tucker, Paul Tucker and Mary Claire Tucker all of Farmerville, LA., and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Special thanks to the caring staff and workers at Arbor Lake Nursing Home, Dr. Steven Venters and First Choice Hospice. Pallbearers will be Ralph Tucker Jr, Jason M. Johnson, Paul M.
