"BILL" TURNER Funeral services for William F. "Bill" Turner, 80, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Jimmy Pitson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Turner died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital. He was a truck driver for 51 years, a U.S. Army Veteran and also loved gardening and fishing. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Turner; parents, William Howard and Ruth Turner; son, Larry Wayne Turner; sister, Joann Morris; and brother, Jerry Turner. Survivors include children, Barry Turner and wife Brenda of Eros, LA, Howard Turner of Jacksonville, FL; two step-children, William Berry of Brady, TX, Sandra Staley of Monroe, LA; sisters, Jeanette McKoin and husband Jack of Monroe, LA, Mildred Jones and husband Glenn of Oak Grove, LA; brothers, Jimmy Turner of Oak Grove, LA, Jack Turner and wife Tammy of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Brett Turner, David and Jennifer Yates; great-grandchildren, Fisher and Logan Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Clark Springs Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, April 4, 2014, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
