Memorial services for Mrs. Geraldine Seals Underwood, 82, of Bogalusa, LA will 
be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in 
Bogalusa.

Mrs. Underwood was born April 15, 1926 in Bogalusa, LA and passed away on 
Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Monroe, Louisiana. Mrs. Underwood was a member of 
First Baptist Church of Bogalusa and was a retired educator in Bogalusa City 
Schools. She also worked at Annunciation Catholic School.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Charles Underwood; parents, 
Charles and Ruby Huey Seals; and four brothers, Woodrow Seals, Charles Seals, 
SR, Carl Seals, Richard Seals; and a sister, Evelyn Seals.

Mrs. Underwood is survived by her husband of 62 years: Virgil Underwood; son: 
Geoff Underwood and wife, Donna; brother: Bob Seals and wife, Sylvia; daughter-
in-law: Stephanie Underwood; granddaughter: Sarah Underwood; grandsons: 
Geoffrey Underwood and wife, Robin and Alex Underwood; great grandchildren: 
Grace, Emma, and Roger Underwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington Parish Public 
Library or the American Red Cross.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Poole-
Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
