Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey Mae Bunn Underwood, 84, of Vero Beach, FL, 
will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 16, 2009, at Eros Baptist Church with 
Rev. J. W. Bunn officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery under the 
direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Underwood passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009. She was involved in 
many civic organizations including Girl Scouts/Brownies, and PTA. Mrs. 
Underwood went back to school attending Rutgers University where she received 
her Associates Degree in Social Work.

Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Underwood; 
parents, Leamon and Mae Bunn; and grandparents, J. M. and Minnie Dozier Bunn, 
and Sydney and Addie Higgins.

Survivors include her four daughters, Patricia Gust of Palm Beach, FL, Mary 
Hamma of Brandenton, FL, Frances DeRosa of Freehold, NJ, and Beth Underwood of 
Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Douglas, Christian, Kristine, Lindsey, 
Rachael, Paul, and Lisa; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Carmen; sister, 
Sybil Cottingham; nephew, Wayne Cottingham; niece, Linda Lowentritt; and other 
cousins in Ouachita and Jackson Parishes.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
