COY E. UPSHAW

Funeral services for Bro. Coy E. Upshaw, 91, will be held at 10:30am Friday, 
October 30, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Dr. Connie E. 
Ward, Bro. Neil Everett and Bro. Marcel McGee officiating. Burial will be in 
Mt. Union Cemetery, near Spearsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral 
Home.

Bro. Upshaw, a retired businessman and minister, went to his heavenly home 
October 28, 2015. Bro. Upshaw was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church but 
served as minister in the local churches for 20 years. He was an avid 
outdoorsman. Bro. Coy was a great husband, dad, grandfather, and great 
grandfather who dearly loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Claud E. & Georgia Upshaw and 5 
sisters.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 71 years, Fern Upshaw; 2 sons: Barry 
E. Upshaw and Douglas C. Upshaw & wife, Cheryl; 1 daughter: Marsha E. 
Blankenship & husband, Jerry; 2 sisters: Janet Horne and Becky McCullin 
&husband, Mack; brother-in-law: J.H. Lockwood; 8 grandchildren; 12 great 
grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews & other 
relatives; and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Cpt. Robert Bratton, Jim Rhodes, Ricky Elkins, David 
Chrisman, Billy Fuller and Kerry Aulds.

Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Thursday at Farrar Funeral Home and again Friday 
8:00am till time of service.
