Rev. Nathan Thronton and Rev. Jason Hodge will officiate. Interment will follow at Vallery Cemetery, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Vallery was born February 21, 1935 in Bessmay, Texas and passed away April 27, 2014 in West Monroe, LA after a lengthy illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She began her journey as a wife, mother, and homemaker at the young age of 15 and took pride in devoting her life to the care of her family. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Living Way Apostolic Church where she influenced the lives of many. Mrs. Vallery was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Patsy Vallery; parents, Harmon Huey Smith and Lela Singletary; and a very special aunt, Alice Clark and husband Monroe. Mrs. Vallery is survived by her husband of 63 years; Amos Vallery; 9 sons, Steve Vallery and wife Pat, Mark Vallery, David Vallery, Paul Vallery, Andrew Vallery and wife Amber, Philip Vallery and wife Joni, Jonathan Vallery and wife Trudy, Nathan Vallery and wife Kyoko, and Joel P. Vallery and wife Angie; brothers, Buddy Smith and wife Karen and Burt Smith; sister, Betty Freeman and husband Corky; 42 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Pallbearers will be Steve Vallery, Mark Vallery, David Vallery, Paul Vallery, Andy Vallery, Philip Vallery, Jonathan Vallery, Nathan Vallery and Joel Vallery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Living Way Apostolic Church.
