Cecil Gregory and Rev. Terry Mims officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Vallery was born in Jackson Parish on December 19, 1921 and died June 5, 2014, at her residence in Monroe, LA. She had been in Monroe since 1941 and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Vallery was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Vallery, her brother, W. Evans Taylor; and her parents, Fred and Edith Taylor. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Vallery and wife Bobbie of Monroe, LA; daughters, Janet Flurry and husband Ron of Choudrant, LA, Deborah Windham and husband Doug of Grenada, MS; grandchildren, Todd Vallery and wife Lisa, Mark Flurry and wife Melissa, Andy Flurry, Edie Flurry Ruiz, Christy Stidham and husband Don, Spence Lee and wife Susan, Valerye Sweatt and husband Davis, Jody Windham and wife Patricia; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Taylor Aswell, Freddie Taylor Berkshire; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the funeral home.
