VEATCH Funeral services for Walter H. Veatch, 86, will be held at 10:00am Monday, March 23, 2015 at Marion First Baptist Church with Bro. Bubba Hoggatt officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Veatch, a retired driller, went to his heavenly home March 19, 2015. He was a member and a Deacon of Marion First Baptist Church. He loved his family, frying fish and his Church family. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Judy Lee Bearden; 1 grandson, Zachary Earl Neel; 1 brother, Thomas "Bud" Veatch and 1 sister, Polly Adkins. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Jo A. Veatch; 2 sons, Randy Veatch & wife Tonya of Farmerville and Jeff Veatch & wife Chasten of Ruston; 3 daughters, Linda Reeves & husband Billy of Marion, Becky Busby & husband Wayne of Bernice and Debbie DeWitt & husband Daniel of Dry Prong, La.; 2 brothers, Bro. Johnny A. Veatch & wife Sue of Texarkana and Wayne Veatch & wife Clara of Bossier City; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Earl Neel, Adam Gray, Ben Moore, Jonathon Dumas, Josh Harris, Richard Neel, Joe Reeves, Tony Reeves and Patrick Smith. Visitation is 5:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday at Marion First Baptist Church.
