RICHARD L. VENABLE
Mulhearn Funeral Home

Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Richard L. Venable, 85, of Monroe, will be held at 
2:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Jack Phelps officiating. Interment will 
follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Venable passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center. 
He was a member of Graceminster Presbyterian Church, U. S. Air Force veteran of 
WWII, bricklayer/contractor, and worked for the City of Monroe. Mr. Venable 
also taught at Vo-Tech Community College.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Jackie Venable; children, Roy 
L. Venable and wife Misty, and, Janice Lee Venable Whidden and husband John; 
grandchildren, Ann Dupre and husband Michael, and Sally Ankenny and husband 
Bobby; four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, special nephew, 
Charles Ray Venable; and great nephew, Mike Venable.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.
