She was born February 21, 1932, and spent most of her early life in Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Holbrook McHenry and Frances Major McHenry of Monroe, and her sister, Cornelia McHenry Thomas of Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Wade was a graduate of Neville High School and a graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She lived most of her life in Monroe and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she loved to ride horses and spend time with her family and friends. She was recognized as an excellent equestrian and will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Mrs. Wade is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Dr. James William Wade, her two sons, James McHenry Wade of Natchez, Mississippi, and Carlton Hunt Wade and his wife Jill Bartlett Wade of Austin, Texas, and her two beloved grandchildren, William Hunt Wade and Mary Bartlett Wade. A private celebration of her life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
