A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Taylor cemetery in Farmerville.Jean was preceeded in death by her parents, L. Brunner and Mattie Taylor Odom, her brother L.B.Odom Jr, and her sister, Blanche Odom Rabun.Jean was a native and longtime resident of Farmerville, moving to Monroe in 1982. She was a member of the Entro nos Book club, an avid reader and bird lover.Survivors include two sons, Kerry H. Emmons of Shreveport, his daughters Jenna and Elizabeth Emmons of Fernandina Beach, Florida; Chris Wadlington and his children, Grant, Trent, and Anne Marie Wadlington of Lafayette; two great grandchildren, Audrey and Jacques Watkins of Lafayette; a niece, Andree' Fitzgerald of Monroe; two nephews, J. Michael Rabun of Farmerville, and Marc O. Rabun of Breaux Bridge.At Jeans request, her body was donated to the La. State Anatomical Services in New Orleans for research. In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation and the American Cancer Association.
