Larry Linson and Rev. Charles Wesley officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Dubach, LA. Mr. Walker died December 15, 2005 at the St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, TX. Mr. Walker was born August 12, 1925 in Downsville, LA. He was a member and deacon of Edgewood Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA for fifty-five years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII, a member of the American Legion L.B. Faulk Post #13, and a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mamie Walker, two brothers, and two sisters. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty Joyce Knowles Walker of Calhoun; sons, Larry Wayne Walker and wife Sarah, and Dennis Lane Walker and wife Nancy all of West Monroe; daughter, Judy Kay Walker of Monroe; sister, Evelyn Fuller and husband Bruce of Monroe; sister-in-law Lettie Walker of Downsville; grandchildren, Fearron Walker, Lane Walker, Gabe Walker, Lindsay Walker, Lisa McGivney and husband Kevin, Tonya Owens and husband John, and Eddie Kepper, Jr. and wife Christy; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Eddie Kepper, Jr., Jim Rigal, Jr., Rick Wedrall, Gabe Walker, Arnie Langreck, John Thrower, Bob Brantley, and Kevin McGivney. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Edgewood Baptist Church, Lane Walker, K. M. Wyrick, and members of his sunday school class. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church Library Fund, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, or to your Favorite Charity.
