Officiating will be the Reverend Dr. Wayne Carter, with close friends of the family, Mr. Richard Stolfa, Dr. John Marymont, Mrs. Kaye Pace, Mr. Rob Rowell; and, Mr. Tim Boatman. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, LA. After the interment the family will receive friends at a Reception in the home of Mr. Roland Toups, 1318 Forest Creek Drive, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 25, Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Connie Lee Pierce Wall was born in Monticello, Arkansas, to Atlas Augustus and Marion Smith Pierce, on July 21, 1950. She died on July 22, 2014, in the Saint Louis University Hospital Intensive Care Unit, awaiting a liver transplant, after many months of a valiant fight against Hemochromatosis. She entered her heavenly home at 12:05 a.m. Connie loved to cook for her family and friends. Everyone looked forward to her New Orleans Saints parties. She was an avid fan of the football team, holding season tickets, and even maintaining a second residence in the French Quarter. Connie had an abundance of friends, both young and old. She was extremely generous, helpful, and always thinking of others. She spent her early years in Ringgold, LA. Connie was a Century 21 Real Estate Agent, and retail store owner of the House of San Francisco in Shreveport, prior to meeting her beloved husband, Dr. Simeon Wall, Sr. She was a homemaker over the past three decades. Connie was a member of many volunteer organizations through the years, but particularly enjoyed her role serving on the Independence Bowl Foundation. Most of all, Connie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, to many, whose absence will be colossal, as she touched their lives, daily, in a monumental fashion. Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Atlas Augustus Pierce; her grandparents, Arthur and Ishie Pierce of Fountain Hill, AR, Travis and Lois Smith of Shreveport; aunt, Virginia Smith; brother, Arthur Pierce; nephew, Jason Hayes; niece, Heather Hayes; nephew, Merrill Pierce; and, sister-in-law, Gloria Pierce. Connie is survived by her husband, Dr. Simeon H. Wall Sr.; daughter, Dr. Wendi Johnson LaBorde; granddaughter, Connie Christine "CeCe" LaBorde; step-son Dr. Simeon H. Wall Jr., and wife Dr. Holly Wall; step-son, Dr. Wendell Wall and wife, Carmen Wall; step-daughter, Shannon Hale and husband, Ken Hale; goddaughter, Hallie Pace; nine step-grandchildren: Trace and Casey Wall; Dylan, Drake and Ragan Hale, Max and Kayia Wall; Meadow and Jonathan Wall; two sisters, Mrs. Sherry McNabb and husband, Ron McNabb of Monroe, LA, Mrs. Marion Deckelman and husband, Leroy Deckelman of Crossett, AR, one brother, William A. Pierce of Elm Grove, LA, nephews Merrick and Madison Pierce of Natchitoches, LA, Marshall Pierce of Atlanta, GA, W.L. Deckelman, Jr. of Washington D.C., nieces, Sharon Mosley, Joy Roberson and Lacey Holdsworth; and several great nephews and nieces. Honoring Connie as pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Jr., Ronnie McNabb, Marshall Pierce, Merrick Pierce, Rob Rowell, Darin Sandstrom, Steven Stewart and Simeon H. Wall, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her brother, William Pierce, Dr. Robert Barish, Joe Parault, Loyd Pace, James Mercer, Richard Roys, William Pierce and Andrej Zervan.
