HAZEL LEIGH RODGERS WALLACE

Funeral services for Hazel Leigh Rodgers Wallace will be held at 3:00 pm, 
February 8, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. 
with Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley 
Cemetery, West Monroe, LA. Hazel Wallace, age 91, passed away peacefully at 
her home in Monroe, LA. on February 5, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. 
Hazel Wallace was born in Riderwood, AL. to Vina Cupples and William Whit 
Rodgers on March 10, 1921. She joined the Navy in 1944, met Aubrey Davis 
Wallace, and they were married on January 23,1945. Together they spent most of 
their lives in West Monroe, LA. in dedicated service to Christ, the Church and 
family.

Hazel was a retiree from the State of Louisiana. She spiritually touched the 
lives of all whom she met. She was lovingly referred to as "Grandmother" to 
her extended family and friends. Hazel avidly studied the Bible, had an 
enthusiastic passion for Christ, and was a member of Yeager Methodist 
Protestant Church, West Monroe, LA. Some of her most leisurely hours were 
spent tending to her gardens.

Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Davis Wallace, brothers Bill 
Rodgers and his wife Carmen, Lawrence Rodgers, Warren Rodgers and his wife 
Virginia, sisters Kathyleen Rodgers Chavis and her husband Clarence, Mildred 
Rodgers Keith and her husband Jimmy.

She is survived by her son Bobby Wallace and his wife Nemery of West Monroe, 
LA., daughter Patricia Wallace Gray and her husband Courtland of Plano, TX., 
daughter Marianne Guillory of West Monroe, LA., son David Wallace and wife 
Alicia of Monroe, LA., brother Joe Rodgers and his wife Dorothy of West 
Monroe, LA., sister-in-law Evelyn Rodgers of Shreveport, LA. and brother-in-
law A. B. Potter of Monroe, LA. Also honoring her memory are grandchildren 
Robert Wallace and his wife Michelle, Billy Wallace and his wife Dianne, Ben 
Wallace and his wife Jennifer, Sarah Colvin and her husband Richie, Tish Head 
and her husband Marty and Eric Wallace and his wife Mimi and great-
grandchildren Mallory Wallace, Heaven and MacKaylin Wallace, Chloe and Stella 
Wallace, Shelby and Allie Colvin, and Avery and Ashton Head and numerous 
beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Wallace,Jr., Billy Wallace, Ben Wallace, Richie 
Colvin, Marty Head , J.T. Frazier and Tim Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers will 
be Joe Rodgers and A. B. Potter.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the 
American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe.
