She was one of two children born to Norman Barr Taylor and Myrtle Hart Taylor. Visitation will be Monday, May 26, 2014 from 5P.M. until 8P.M. at Farrar's Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 10:00 A.M. at Wilhite United Methodist Church located on Wes Wilhite Road in Downsville, LA with Ricky Nolan Officiating. Graveside service will follow at Mars Hill Cemetary, Downsville, LA. Cubie retired after over 50 years of personally providing Residential & Commercial Building Designs to clients in Louisiana and other states. She was the founder of Taylor-Wallace Designs, Inc. , An Architectural & Engineering Firm, practicing in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, & Missouri. Cubie obtained a BA & ME in Education from Northeast Louisiana University and a BA in Interior Design from Louisiana Tech University. She is survived by her husband, Karl "Mike" Wallace of 48 years, and brother, Dr. Barr W. Taylor and wife, Francis, of Greenville, North Carolina. Survivors also include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Karl Michael & Brenda Wallace, Son & Daughter-in-law, Gregory Taylor & Jessica Wallace, Daughter & Son-in-law, Anna Catherine & William "Bill" Pearson; Grandsons, Joe Wallace, Jacob Pearson, Josh Pearson, John Pearson & Elijah Wallace; Granddaughters, Lauren Wallace & Ashley Pearson, all of West Monroe & Downsville. Cubie died peacefully at home surrounded by loving family Sunday, May 25, 2014, following a long battle with Alzheimer's. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her caregiver, Anita Littleton & First Choice Hospice for their kindness and attention given to Cubie.
