WALLACE Memorial Services Celebrating the Life of Jerry C. Wallace, 75, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA with Bro. J.R. Wells officiating. Mr. Wallace was born on April 20, 1941 in Plain Dealing, LA to the union of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Wallace, and passed away at the Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA on Saturday, February 4, 2017 after a long struggle from complications with Diabetes. He was a successful business man who will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, a Christian man, a hard worker and a man of his word. He had a love of the outdoors and in his younger days, was an excellent cook, gardener and fisherman. Mr. Wallace spent many hours with his brother and friends enjoying car racing of any kind, especially Nascar. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty Smith Wallace. Survivors include his daughter, Kim Wallace Glenn and husband, Walker; granddaughter, Ashley Lowery Higgins and great grandson, Ethan Higgins. He is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth Wallace and wife, Janell of Plain Dealing, LA and Glendon Wallace and wife, Oleta of Sarepta, LA; two step grandsons, Brodie Glenn and wife, Alice and their daughter, Reese Glenn of New Orleans, LA and Cameron Glenn and his son, Archer Glenn of Little Rock, AR; and a special friend, Julie Patrick Sutton, who he considered his adopted daughter. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until Service Time on Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA. Due to the pain and struggles of his illness, we will rejoice in the fact that he is no longer suffering and has reunited with the love of his life, as well as those who have gone before him. Any planned memorials can be made to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
