PEGGY RUTH TOWNLEY WEBB

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Ruth Townley Webb of West Monroe, LA will be 
11:00am Monday, November 21, 2016 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West 
Monroe with Rev. Clovis Sturdivant officiating. Interment will follow at New 
Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. 
Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service Monday at the church.

Mrs. Webb was born November 9, 1937 in Birmingham, AL and passed from this 
life on November 17, 2016 in Farmerville, LA at the age of 79. She was a 
member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church and was an employee of State Farm 
Insurance for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, square dancing and 
cross stitching. She loved her dogs, "Little One" and "Champagne", and she 
especially loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Lee and Avery Nadine Gray 
and her first husband and father of her four children, Bob Townley.

Survivors include her children, Bob Townley and wife Julie of Vicksburg, MS, 
Beth Hines and husband Tommy of West Monroe, Karen Gardner and husband Jerry 
of Gulfport, MS and Jimmy Townley and Amy Cox of Monroe; one sister, Martha 
Jo Wynn and husband Sid of Pinson, AL; six grandchildren, Iris Fayard and 
husband Christopher of Biloxi, MS, Jenni Townley Hodges and husband Joel of 
Maylene, AL, Clay Townley and wife Hayle of Southside, AL, Corey Hines and 
Josh Hines of Monroe, and Morgan Townley Baines of Luverne, AL; two great-
grandchildren, Jaycee Hodges of Maylene, AL and Axel Fayard of Biloxi, MS; 
one niece, Linda Murphy and husband, Mike of Pinson, AL; also survived by 
her State Farm Insurance family and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corey Hines, Josh Hines, Tommy Hines, Jerry Gardner, 
Clay Townley and Adam Norsworthy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks and gratitude for the 
outstanding care and compassion given by the doctors, nurses and staff of 
Arbor Lake Nursing Center in Farmerville, LA.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the 
Alzheimer's Association .
