VELMA JULIA WALTERS

Kilpatrick Funeral Home

Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Velma Julia Walters, 87, of Fairbanks, will be held on 
Monday, April 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 
1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA. Brother Danny McIlveene will officiate. Interment 
will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park, Monroe, under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mrs. Walters was born March 6, 1922 in Boyce, LA and passed away Friday, April 
10, 2009, in Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eulas Baine 
Walters.

Mrs. Walters was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who made a 
lifetime of sacrifices in order to provide for others.

Survivors include son, John Walters and wife Kathy, daughters, Nelda Stewart 
and husband Jimmy, Jenell Williams and husband Darrell. She is also survived 
by two sisters, one brother, eight grandchildren and twelve great 
grandchildren.

The family would like to give many thanks to the staff and other caregivers 
from Avalon Place Nursing Home.

Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2009, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the 
Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Lamy Lane, Monroe.
