CONNIE GILBERT WALTERS

Funeral services for Mr. Connie Gilbert Walters, 92, will be held 10:00AM 
Monday, January 24, 2011, at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God in Calhoun, LA, 
with Bros. Tracey Ables and Neil Everette officiating.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the church. 
Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun with 
arrangements under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel, Inc. of Ruston.

Mr. Walters, a retired diesel mechanic, was born March 6, 1918, and went to 
his heavenly home on Friday, January 21, 2011. He was a musician who could 
play most any instrument especially the guitar. He enjoyed playing at church 
and he had a former band the "Calhoun Ramblers."

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers.

Survivors include: One son- Wayne Walters (Kathy); Seven daughters: Joyce 
Puckett (Richard); Frances Burton (Donnie); Reta Gilbert (Bobby); Ann Hogan 
(Troyce); Shirley Gauthier (Joe); Bobbie Fretwell (Ronnie) and Connie Beaver 
(Ron); Two brothers: Layton Walters (Jettie) and Ray Walters (Joan); Three 
sisters: Mittie Williams, Elizabeth Felice and Annette Coker. 18 
Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great great grandchildren, Numerous 
nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a special dog "Precious"

Pallbearers: Kevin Puckett, Bart Hogan, Danny Walters, Don Walters, Gary Smith 
and Tommy Williams.
