WARE Funeral services for James C. Ware, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday May 30, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt and Rev. David Worthington officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA. Mr. Ware was born on March 3, 1930 and passed away in Monroe, LA on May 26, 2015. Reverend James C. Ware served as a pastor in several churches in Louisiana and in Alaska. He served as a missionary in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Colombia, South America, as a hospital administrator, from 1958 - 1977 with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Ware; his mother, Unah Hammons Ware Dunn and his sister, Tommie Jean Walters. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Susan G. Ware; children, Ruth W. Rosenow and husband, Alvin of Monroe, LA, Mary Ellen Carrell and husband, Ron of Weatherford, OK, James T. Ware and wife, Mary Alice of Monroe, LA, and Rebecca L. Villafranco of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Carol Anne Elwell and husband, James, Laura McLeland and husband, Damon, Gloria Salas and husband, Joe, Alex Rosenow and fiancée, Erika Knott, Sarah Beth Carrell, Paul Davidson Ware, Jenny Lee Ware, Emily Villafranco, Gabrielle Villafranco and Samuel Villafranco; great grandchildren, Elena, Connor , and David James Elwell, Jacob and Brynn McLeland, Elias, Brandon, Garrett, Caleb and Rachel Salas; brothers, Charles Ware and wife, Ann of Maryland and Joseph Ware and wife, Sharon of Arkansas; along with numerous nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Elwell, Alex Rosenow, Joe Salas, Damon McLeland, Ron Carrell and Paul Ware. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA. Memorials may be made to his church, Gideons International, or the International Mission Board, SBC.
