LELA B. WARREN

Funeral services for Lela Warren, 89, of Newellton will be held 2 pm Sunday, 
June 5, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Newellton, with Rev. Mike Mitchell, 
Rev. Larry Foster and Bess Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Legion 
Memorial Cemetery, Newellton, under the direction of Gill First National 
Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of services.

Mrs. Warren was born September 19, 1926, to the union of Henry Benson Barfield 
and Annie Mary Eubanks Barfield; and passed from this life on May 26, 2016, at 
Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.

Mrs. Warren was a member of First Baptist Church of Newellton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest Edward Warren; 
brothers: Bill, David, Bob, Quincy and Leonard Barfield; sister, Frances 
Higginbotham; and one grandson, Jason Parker.

Survivors include one daughter, Lela "Penny" Warren Hart and Robert of Liberty 
Hill, TX; son, Michael Parker and wife Connie of Wedowee, AL; grandson, Sean 
Parker and Jennifer of Newman, GA; two granddaughters: Ariana Hart and Shelby 
Hart; one great-grandson, Ellis Warren Parker.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Barfield, Winn Blanch, Barry Higginbotham, Scott 
Higginbotham, Randy McDonald, and Sean Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Barfield, Brooks Blanch, and Lane Blanch.
