FANNYE WASSON

Brandon, MS.

Fannye Wasson, 83, passed away in Brandon on Wednesday Feb. 25, 2009 after a 
lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held in April.

Ms. Wasson was born in Aberdeen, MS. and graduated from MSCW. She worked for 
the State Health Department in Louisiana and lived in Monroe, LA. for a number 
of years. Recently she came to Brandon to be with family.

She loved working in her garden, bird watching, and caring for her cats. Her 
Christmas baking was looked forward to all year long. She will be missed so 
much by family and friends.

Ms. Wasson was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. L.P. Wasson and Ella 
Wasson; sisters, Ruby McBryde, Elizabeth Rhudy, Virginia Furr, Lucy Thompson 
and one brother, Wilbourn Wasson.

She is survived by her sisters, Julia Strong and Sara Edwards; her brother-in-
law, W.C. Thompson and her nieces and nephews.
