KAY KOSEROG-WATSON
A brief memorial service followed by a gathering of family, friends, and 
colleagues to celebrate and remember Mrs. Kay Koserog-Watson, 53, of Lacombe, 
LA will be held from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2009 at The 
Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints located at 112 Rue Esplanade, 
Slidell, LA. All that knew her are lovingly invited to attend. Bring your good 
memories and stories to share.

Kay died Thursday, July 9, 2009 after a courageous three year battle with 
breast cancer. Always optimistic, Kay was a strong fighter that never let her 
personal trials be a burden to any of her family or friends.

As a child, Kay and her parents traveled the south central United States for 
twelve years as a member of the carnival amusement circuit. Throughout this 
time she attended several schools in Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, and 
Wisconsin. She obtained her high school diploma from Montgomery High in 
Montgomery, AL. As an adult, she proudly served her country for four years as 
an active duty flight line and jet mechanic in the United States Air Force. 
She obtained her college degree in education from the University of Louisiana 
at Monroe in 1988. Kay began her teaching career in Monroe, LA and remained a 
devoted science teacher the rest of her life. She was a long time standing 
member of the Epsilon State and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International 
Louisiana chapter society for educators.

Kay enjoyed reading, travel, concerts, taking road trips to the beach with her 
girlfriends, along with teaching, listening and helping her many students over 
the years. She will always be remembered as a caring, concerned, involved and 
supportive mother, a devoted daughter and wife, and a true and trustworthy 
friend. She was ardent about living life to the fullest and truly had a heart 
of gold. Kay never took her blessings for granted. We thank God for sharing 
her with us for the time we had her. Though we will miss her deeply, she will 
always be with us in our hearts until we are united with her again. Her face 
will be the brightest one shining when it is our turn to return to our Father.

Kay is survived by her husband of four years, Jeff Watson of Lacombe, LA; 
parents, June and Robert Fisher of Plymouth, WI; her son, Charles Edward 
Koserog, Jr. of Monroe, LA; previous husband of twenty years, E.K. Koserog of 
Monroe, LA; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many dear and true 
friends from her childhood and throughout her teaching career.

The family would to express their appreciation to close friend and colleague, 
Barbara Wade for arranging the use of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day 
Saints in Slidell, LA.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Kay's name and can be 
sent to 30239 Nina Drive, Lacombe, LA 70445.
