WATSON Graveside services for Ruth E. Watson, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at Potosi Cemetery, in Abilene, TX, with interment to follow at Potosi Cemetery. Mrs. Watson was born on January 17, 1927, in Calliham, TX, and passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center Downtown, Monroe, LA. She was a bookkeeper and homemaker who spent most of her life in Abilene, Texas before she moved to Monroe to be close to her son. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, she also enjoyed travel, square dancing, and Bible Study fellowship. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Norman and Lenard; one sister, Margie, and husbands, Winston Matejowsky, Thomas Webb, and Haden Watson. Survivors include her son, Billy Clayton Matejowsky, and wife Valerie; grandson, Winston Clayton Matejowsky, and wife Brigitte; and two granddaughters, Hannah Grace and Abigail Elise Matejowsky. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Robin and Jane in CCU at St. Francis Medical Center, and the staff at Avalon Place.
