GROVER L. JR. WATSON

Funeral services for Grover L. Watson, Jr. will be held at 11:00 AM, 
Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West 
Monroe. Bro. Cecil Herrington will officiate. Interment will follow at 
Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home West Monroe.

Grover was born May 24, 1930 in Clarks, LA and passed away December 14, 2016 
at his home in West Monroe. He served in the United States Army 3rd Armored 
Division 801st Engineer Aviation Battalion from April 1948 until July 1952. 
Grover was stationed in Korea from September 1951 until July 1952. He was a 
member of West Heights Baptist Church and was retired from Graphic Packaging 
as an oiler. Grover was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Watson, Sr. 
and Cortez Watson Myers; a sister, Willie Grace Perritt, beloved wife of 52 
years Mary S. Watson, and an infant, grandson, Aaron Douglas Waters.

Grover is survived by his 5 children, Bruce Watson, Sr. and wife Dianne, 
Marsha Johnson and husband Ted, Tracy Watson and wife Sherrie, Randy Watson 
and wife Judy and Jennifer Waters and husband Mark; 12 grandchildren and 32 
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was also blessed 
beyond measure by countless hunting buddies, fellow musicians, cousins, 
nieces, nephews and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Bruce W. Watson, Jr., Blaine W. Watson, Adam L. Johnson, 
Christopher C. Watson, Jeffrey R. Watson and Kenny A. Sandifer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Stewart and Jason McCurdy.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM 
at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
