Born in Bastrop, Louisiana, she was the youngest daughter of Annie and E.R. Boyd. A misspelling on her birth certificate led her to embrace the name "Dolores." She dedicated herself to raising her two sons, Scott and Terry Brewster, with her first husband, Jerry L. Brewster. She later married John Watts and worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation (DOTD) in Monroe and Start, Louisiana, touching the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. Dolores' passions included cooking for loved ones and caring for her poodles. She will be deeply missed by her sons, sisters Jean Kennedy and Helen Powell, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 10th, from 2-5 p.m. CST at "The Hangar" at ULM, Ballroom A (ULM Campus, Mitchell St, Monroe, LA 71212).
